Meet Christy

Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, LCMHC

I have always enjoyed listening to other women's stories. I have also personally walked through chapters of my own story which have been full of changes and challenges. Now, through God’s guidance, I have found myself doing what I love – supporting & counseling women who need someone they trust to encourage them in stepping forward, and who desire to feel heard and understood.  Just as there have been many wonderful mentors who have walked with me through my journey, I desire to meet with other's in the middle of theirs; walking with them into a place where they can choose to experience more freedom and an intentional healthier life.

One of my favorite verses of Scripture is Psalm 46:10: "Be Still and Know that I am God."  I have come to know that much of what we "do" in our lives would be better suited if we learned how to practice "being" well first.

As for professional qualifications and experience, I am certified by the NC Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and obtained my Master's Degree from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. Following my degree, I experienced several years in Human Resources within the global finance industry, guiding others through various personal/professional career decisions and serving in ongoing Coaching and Counseling for Employees, Executive Management and Business Leaders with regard to relationship, performance, and behavioral management. I have also worked with women in pregnancy care centers, individual counseling & hospital intensive care, cancer, and ER units. I enjoy fitness and nutrition and am certified as an AFAA Personal Fitness Trainer and Group Exercise Teacher. I served as a Facilitator and Forum Moderator for the Women’s Spousal Forum for the Charlotte Chapter of the Entrepreneur’s Organization as well have facilitated Zoom groups for ministry & counseling.

Personally, my husband and I are intentionally involved in raising three boys together in a blended family. This experience has made me particularly passionate about the health of the family, supporting the female role in the family, and the impact that women have on the next generation of leaders.

In all things, I give God the glory for the journey that He has had me on in my own life and for the privilege of walking with other women as their stories unfold.

"Be Still and Know that I am God."
